Creating safe, nurturing spaces where young people can heal, grow, and thrive.

Care that Makes a Difference

Warm, Welcoming Homes

Our residential homes are located in calm, suburban areas across Derbyshire. Each one is thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, nurturing environment, with large gardens, off-street parking, and space for up to three young people.

Personalised, Specialist Care

Our experienced care teams are specially trained to work with young people who have experienced emotional trauma. Through consistent, one-to-one relationships, we build trust, provide emotional stability, and help each individual feel understood.

Meaningful Connections

We prioritise building positive, lasting bonds with every young person in our care. These relationships provide the foundation for personal growth, confidence, and healing.

Collaborative & Holistic Support

We take a joined-up approach, partnering with healthcare professionals and external services to ensure each young person receives the tailored support they need — emotionally, socially, and practically.

Building Independence

Our homes are close to shops and public spaces, giving young people the chance to develop everyday life skills like shopping independently, managing money, and exploring their community safely.

Fun & Community Engagement

From local parks and activity centres to Derby's family fun days, we make sure young people can enjoy age-appropriate, enjoyable experiences — creating memories, friendships, and a true sense of belonging.

Personalised 1:1 Support

Every child receives dedicated one-to-one care, fostering trust, stability, and personalised support tailored to their individual needs.

Types of Placements

We provide tailored placements, including long-term options that offer stability and a family-style home.

Age Range & Needs We Support

Our homes support young people aged 5–18 facing emotional, behavioural, or social challenges, including self-harm, substance misuse, exploitation risks, and difficulties in education or relationships.

Staff & Training

Our staff are carefully chosen and trained in safeguarding, trauma-informed care, exploitation awareness, behaviour management, and health and wellbeing.

What others say

When little people are overwhelmed by big emotions, it’s our job to share our calm, not join their chaos

L.R. Knost

Director of the Children’s Rights Advocacy.

What stood out for me was the nurturing, family-like environment combined with therapeutic, personalised care. This is exactly what vulnerable young people need.

Children are not giving us a hard time. They are having a hard time.

Janet Lansbury

Author & Parenting Educator (RIE approach)

I have placed young people in many homes, but Willow’s 1:1 approach is outstanding. It ensures each child’s needs are met individually and consistently.

The staff took the time to understand my son’s needs. That personal care has helped him build confidence and stability we hadn’t seen before.
